The talk of the town is that Sarah Palin was saying "sambo beat the bitch," referring to Obama's win over Clinton. We should not be surprised to know that Palin's views are similar to those who live in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana who have said they would not vote for a Black man under any circumstances. Some think the political term "conservative" equates to bible thumper or a specific set of issues. It does not, conservatives are basically White people who are trying to maintain a conservation society for white supremacy. Conservative is a code word. Look at what they have set up for themselves in Alaska. Alaska is the American version of South Africa, New Zealand or Australia. This is why Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and Michelle Malkin are so popular in 2008. That is why Ronald Reagan was such a popular president.
The "change" Barack is talking about and the "change" McCain is touting are two different things. Barack is talking taking the politics out of decisions that affect the day to day lives of Americans. McCain's change which is being choreographed by Karl Rove is to reinforce white supremacy. Reaganism is a case study on white supremacy in America. Reagan brought order back into the lives of the poor White family. One of the ways he did it was to build an economy for White people with Black people as the product. If y'all forgot that is how this country was started. Beginning in the Reagan years, policy was developed that would allow for large scale arrests and incarceration of Blacks which in turn created the need for an industry now referred to as the prison industrial complex. So for those towns where farming, coal mining and other manufacturing jobs had disappeared they were able to get a prison. The prisons meant construction jobs, correctional officer jobs and jobs in businesses that serve the prisons. The prison became another form of the plantation. Also, under Reagan policy was used to remove stable families from housing projects so that the poor would become socially isolated and systematically become drug dens and war zones. In other words, Reagan was the return of the hardcore slave master and his legacy was reinforced by Bush Sr. and Bush Jr.
In McCain's speech at the Republican convention, he begins to use Barack's theme of change. We listened to the speech and we were like "homie ain't on nuthin." However, he signaled to the conservative wing of the party what that change is when he added Palin to the ticket. People are looking for dirt on Palin as if it matters. People are talking about her lack of experience as if that matters. All that matters to the conservatives is that they do not let a Black man in the White House. Palin is the signal that change really is coming. It is not about giving women a voice in America. There are dozens of qualified women who could have provided a strong voice for women. Palin on the ticket means that they are going to stop sugar coating what it would mean to white supremacy to allow Barack Obama to become president.
The bottom line is you have two choices right now. You can either stop being a spectator and commentator in this crucial election and go out in your community and ensure that everybody is registered and mobilized to vote or you can start learning some chain gang songs. Sister and brother, as Dres said "the choice is your", "you can get with this or you can get with that."
