Ramadan Mubarak.
Stop playing! It is plain to see that people are not jumping on Palin simply because she has a teenager that is pregnant. If she did not support abstinence programs as opposed to sex education the topic would not be relevant. The big stink is about the fact that she jumped onto the national stage carrying that baggage as if it was not going to come out. She could have been straightforward and announced that on Day One. Here she is a unknown woman who manages a tiny and distant state with a population less than a small city and she comes in with a secret carload of baggage.
Politics aside, I question her judgment. As a remedy for the media investigation into her daughter's pregnancy she makes an announcement that her seventeen year old daughter is going to marry the eighteen year old boy who will be the father of the child. Are you serious? An eighteen year old is barely ready for college and you are going to have him be a husband? If you give homie a big bag of loot and a house you could not make him into husband material.
Barack gave us an example in leadership when he told the press that he would not allow this issue to be politicized (wink, wink). I love Barack, he has hood credentials. However, by saying anything you just politicized the issue. All is fair in love, war and politics. So, Barack can leave it alone, but the national press is going to dig and dig until they get to the bottom of it.
McCain is pretty desperate. Next he might have ol' girl give lap dances for votes.
